NORTH CAROLINA OPEN THREAD Sunday, June 4th, 2023
WEEKLY EDITION #419
Eight years ago I was asked to start publishing a weekly blog covering North Carolina. I accepted the invitation and began compiling and linking news and opinion from around the state. I would like to thank everyone who has stopped by over the years.
It has been a rewarding exercise for me and has offered me the opportunity to keep a closer eye on my state, and has given me a much deeper understanding of North Carolina’s political and social history. I hope visitors continue to regard this work as worthy. Have a great summer.
This blog is a weekly feature of North Carolina Blue. We hope this weekly platform gives readers interested in North Carolina politics a place to share their knowledge, insight and inspiration as we take back our state from some of the most extreme Republicans in the nation. Please stop by each week. You can also join the discussion in four other weekly State Open Threads. If you are interested in starting your own state blog, weekly to occasionally, I will list your work below.
Colorado: Mondays, 7:00 PM Mountain
Michigan: Wednesdays, 6:00 PM Eastern
North Carolina: Sundays, 1:00 PM Eastern
Missouri: Wednesday Evenings
Kansas: Monday Evenings

The following news roundup is being brought to you by NC NEWSLINE, previously known as NC Policy Watch. Since DKos Asheville co-hosted a bloggers event with NC Policy Watch several years ago, I have often depended on their excellent reporting to find stories and opinion that I thought readers would find useful. I encourage all to read and support their efforts.
