Having just read “Trump threatens legal action against 'libelous' former White House lawyer Ty Cobb”, I suddenly felt compelled to write something about this “journalism” that bothers me. Also, It is a problem if people continue to talk about, or further entertain, this nonsense anywhere. And, so, here I am — commenting on it. Sigh. So, in Chapman’s article, he writes:
"Ty Cobb is a disgruntled former Lawyer, who represented me long ago, and knows absolutely nothing about the Boxes Hoax being perpetrated upon me by the DOJ for purposes of interfering with the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election, where I am substantially leading all “comers,” including Republicans and Democrats," wrote Trump.
Now, I want to focus on a particular part of this quoted statement. It goes like this:
… and knows absolutely nothing about the Boxes Hoax being perpetrated upon me by the DOJ ...
I am surfeited by this moron’s claims of persecution. His bromidic screeds are trite. They are passée. They are banal. Only a complete idiot would think this tactic (and I use the word loosely) works. Only an imbecile would look at his umpteenth statement like this and think to themselves, “Yeah, he is right. He is so unfairly persecuted.” It is utterly inane.
Something happened to The Donald, today? He thought it was unfair? He issued a lengthy screed on some website? Quelle surprise! Does anyone think, legally speaking, this could potentially be a successful legal tactic? And, honestly, only a complete dunce would care.
Give me a break from these ridiculous, vapid articles about his public rants. When he is on trial, tell me something. If he goes to prison, or is punished in any way, tell me something. No one cares (or at least should) about his infantile screeds. Find something better to publish. Publish public statements from his inner circle detailing his unfitness. Otherwise, ignore the Orange Shitgibbon, until we see some sort of (possibly) successful prosecution going on.
“I published yet another article about his umpteenth screed, and I was paid for it!” Really? Who is the greater dumbass? The dumbass writing his interweb screeds, or the dumbass writing “journalistic” articles about it? You wrote it? You got paid? Do tell.
