A friend dropped off a novel “Michel Michel“ by Robert Lewis.
It is a novel based in France just after World War 2. It tells the story of a child who was sent to live in a Catholic school run by religious women. The head woman determines that she was his mom and decided to Baptize the child and raise him as a Catholic. The child’s parents died in the Holocaust but his aunt and uncle survived and made it to Palestine. After he was they sent for the child but the new “mother” refused to give him up. He, with the help of the church, moved him from one safe house to another to try to hid him from his real family.
I have no idea how it will turn out, and it is an easy read except it is written in a very small text size os I get eye ztrain after reading a few pages and have to put it down for a bit.
How about you? Reading anything good that you’d suggest other people pick up?
