Mostly I don’t have a for/against opinion on format changes. I don’t love something just because it’s new, and I don’t hate something just because it’s different. All I really care about is how well it works. And the new, smaller font size in the comments section isn’t working very well for me. Yeah, I know I can always click “CTRL +” and make everything bigger, but then the headline and sidebar are way too big, to the point of looking silly. But without that tweak, the font is actually difficult for me to read now.
My eyes are approximately as old as the rest of me, but they seem to be wearing out at a faster rate than most of the other parts. Four or five years ago my eyes would not have had the difficulty they are having now, but I guess it’s true what they say about eyesight getting worse when you get old.
So, does anybody else here have old eyes that ain’t what they used to be? (Or maybe even not-so-old eyes that just don’t quite work as well as they are supposed to?)
What do the rest of y’all think? Would adjusting the comments font size up a couple of points be a worthwhile change?
[Whoa! Something else changed. My chosen graphic has previously displayed at just about half the page wide, giving the rest of the width over to text. I generally like that. But now it seems that my “No Hate” graphic spans the whole width of the page, which I really don’t want it to do (usually). Is this really necessary?]
