Last week Montpelier, Vermont, like much of the rest of the state, was hit by catastrophic flooding. Among the many businesses devastated by the disaster was Bear Pond Books. Because of flooding in the past and their proximity (like all the rest of the city) to the Winooski River, they are unable to get flood insurance, and need help raising funds to rebuild.
We all love our little indie bookstores, and we know the threat they face not only from the whims of nature, but from monsters like Amazon. If you can spare a couple of dollars, please head on over to Bear Pond Books and order a book, purchase a gift card, or make a donation to their recovery fund.
Thank you! 🙂
