A couple from Kyiv and their son lived on the fourth floor of the building in Lviv that was hit by a Russian rocket on the night of July 6. They moved from the capital, believing that it is safer in the West of Ukraine. The apartment was completely destroyed, the neighbor from the apartment opposite of theirs died. A family of Kyivans was saved by a miracle – they managed to run to the basement after the first explosion.
You will hear that many people don’t go to shelters when the alarms go off. Kind of like people that don’t wear seatbelts, because they don’t think they will have an accident or don’t get smoke alarms because they don’t think they will have a fire.

Night-time onslaught believed to be heaviest attack on civilian areas of city since start of invasion.
The night-time attack destroyed the roof and top two floors of a residential building, injuring nine people as emergency crews with search dogs went through the rubble.
