Welcome to what is the 1232nd original profile here at “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day”, where we’ll be discussing the sitting U.S. House Representative for Texas’ 27th Congressional District, Michael Cloud, who was first elected in 2018 to replace the disgusting sack of flesh known as Blake Farenthold, with the help of the endorsement of the former presidential candidate and deranged conspiracy theorist Ron Paul.
Cloud's academic credentials include attending Oral Roberts University where he was a track and cross country star, and his ability to run fast has applied mostly to his ability to run away from truth. Like that a majority of Americans would like something… ANYTHING done to prevent mass shootings, as he posts the opposite. And sure, he could post stupid-ass things until the end of time on Twitter/X, like to complain about "cancel culture" like a white nationalist performative victim, or to call for the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alex Mayorkas for not doing illegal and cruel things to migrants crossing the border.
That is not why we felt the need to profile Michael Cloud. It’s more that right around the time Joe Biden won the 2020 election, this guy’s proven himself to be 50% water, 50% vinegar, and 100% douche. Sorry, that’s not fair, that’s a product with an actual positive purpose. To the point: Michael Cloud has been distinctly on Team Sedition, having signed on to the GOP’s amicus brief to the Supreme Court to try and overturn the election results, he voted for the objection to the electoral votes being counted on Jan. 6th, 2021, during the attack he joined up with morons like Marjorie Taylor-Greene and Louie Gohmert to refuse to put masks on during the chaos to prevent the spread of Covid-19, (he hasn’t come off of his Covid-19 idiocy, still posting in April of 2023 that "The government creates a problem and then rides in like a shining knight to ‘fix’ the problem it created. Case in point: Covid shutdowns.”) and since Donald Trump’s little coup attempt failed, he has voted against honoring the Capitol Police for daring to hold the line during the attack on the Capitol. Hell, less than six months later, he was taking selfies with Capitol attacker Anhtony Aguero at the U.S./Mexico border.
- January 23rd, 2019: Rep. Cloud voted against HR 648, because she was gleefully enjoying the longest government shutdown in history.
- February 28th, 2019: Cloud votes against HR 1112, a bill which would have required universal background checks on all firearm purchases, and close the gun show loophole.
- March 14th, 2019: Rep. Cloud votes against HJR 46, which sane members of Congress voted for to reject Donald Trump’s “national emergency” regarding the U.S. border and his attempts to reallocate funds for a border wall without Congressional approval.
- April 4th, 2019: Michael Cloud is one of 158 Republicans who choose to vote against the re-authorization of the Violence Against Women Act, likely because they feel the 2nd Amendment remaining absolute is more important than preventing people with a history of domestic abuse from owning a firearm (which statistics show, makes them more likely to use those firearms against women in their lives).
- May 17th, 2019: Cloud votes against The Equality Act, which would have prevented discrimination towards Americans based on their gender identity or sexual orientation.
- June 4th, 2019: Rep. Cloud votes against the Dreamers Act, because he’s too xenophobic and partisan to care about immigration reform.

- July 16th, 2019: Michael Cloud votes against a resolution to condemn Donald Trump for his racist statements that four people of color in Congress should “go back where they came from”.
- December 18th, 2019: Rep. Cloud ignores his Congressional duty to hold a president who has been proven to commit high crimes and misdemeanors accountable and votes against the first impeachment of Donald Trump.
- May 15th, 2020: Cloud votes against the HEROES Act, to further support the healthcare industry and citizens affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
- December 10th, 2020: Cloud signs his name to an amicus brief to the Supreme Court, begging them to overturn the results of the 2020 election. The same election that she won re-election in.
- January 6th, 2021: Michael Cloud votes for the objection to the electoral college’s votes in the 2020 election, a failure to send any sort of message that he wasn’t intimidated or sympathetic to those who attacked the Capitol to attempt a violent coup.
- January 9th, 2021: Video emerges showing that Cloud was one of several Republican members of Congress who refused to wear masks while they were being handed out during the attack on the Capitol, because of course he and his fellow mouth-breathers wanted a biological component to the attack.
- January 13th, 2021: Rep. Cloud votes against the second impeachment of Donald Trump, because the Republican Party no longer feels like they should be accountable for anything, including failed coups that result in the deaths of both their participants and police officers.
- February 4th, 2021: Michael Cloud votes to keep Marjorie Taylor Greene’s committee assignments, because he wouldn’t want her to be accountable for all the bigoted remarks and conspiracy theories she’s spread online (probably because she’s a kindred spirit).
- February 25th, 2021: Cloud votes against HR 5, the latest version of the Equality Act, that would provide workplace protections for LGBTQ Americans.
- March 3rd, 2021: Rep. Cloud votes against HR 1, a bill created to prevent the corruption of money in politics, and protect voter access to the ballot box.
- March 3rd, 2021: Michael Cloud votes against the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act of 2021.
- March 10th, 2021: Cloud votes against the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, because she feels people deserve to die in poverty during a pandemic.
- March 17th, 2021: Rep. Cloud is one of 172 Republicans who choose to vote against the re-authorization of the Violence Against Women Act, likely because they feel the 2nd Amendment remaining absolute is more important than preventing people with a history of domestic abuse from owning a firearm (which statistics show, makes them more likely to use those firearms against women in their lives).
- March 17th, 2021: Cloud is one of twelve Republicans who pick a side to have rooted for in the failed coup attempt on 1/6/21 and votes against awarding Congressional gold medals to members of the Capitol Police who bravely defended members of Congress during the attack.
- May 19th, 2021: Rep. Cloud votes against HR 3233, the creation of a commission to investigate the Capitol Attack.
- May 20th, 2021: Michael Cloud is one of 63 Republicans who vote against the Covid-19 Hate Crimes Act.
- June 15th, 2021: Rep. Cloud is one of twenty-one Republicans who pick a side to have rooted for in the failed coup attempt on 1/6/21 and votes against awarding Congressional gold medals to members of the Capitol Police who bravely defended members of Congress during the attack.
- June 29th, 2021: Cloud is one of 8 Republicans who travel to the U.S./Mexico border to do photo-ops to stir up anti-immigrant furor, but also appear on camera with Capitol insurrectionist Anthony Aguero, as if he wasn’t a part of an attack on Congress less than six months prior.
- November 5th, 2021: Michael Cloud votes against HR 3684, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
- March 31st, 2022: Cloud votes against HR 6833, the Affordable Insulin Now Act, which would limit the cost that drug companies could list insulin at to $35 and make sure no diabetic was priced out of surviving their condition. Michael Cloud would rather they be gouged by pharmaceutical giants and/or die.
- May 18th, 2022: Michael Cloud is one of 192 Republicans who votes against HR 7790, to create supplemental funding for infant formula (while claiming to be pro- life).
- May 18th, 2022: Rep. Cloud votes against HR 350, the Domestic Violence Prevention Act, because these days, a plank of the Republican Party is ostensibly domestic terror.
- May 19th, 2022: Cloud votes against HR 7688, a bill which would help prevent gas companies from gouging customers on prices.
- July 15th, 2022: Michael Cloud votes against House Amendment 262, which would require the FBI, Department of Homeland Security, and Secretary of Defense to publish a report on the infiltration of American law enforcement by Neo-Nazis and white supremacists, offer measures to be taken to remove them from their ranks, and prevent further infiltration by others.
- July 19th, 2022: Rep. Cloud is one of 157 Republicans who votes against the “Respect for Marriage Act”, which would codify same sex marriage into law nationally.
- July 21st, 2022: Cloud is one of 195 Republicans who vote against the Right to Contraception Act, which codified the right of Americans to have access to birth control.
- December 6th, 2022: Cloud, embracing the GOP’s white nationalist, anti-immigrant sentiment votes against HR 7946, which was meant to honor the promise to grant citizenship to immigrants who served in the United States Armed Forces.
- December 21st, 2022: Michael Cloud is one of 28 Republicans who votes against the Respect for Child Survivors Act, a bill created to aid the survivors of child abuse, which shows you how much the GOP truly care about stopping “groomers”.
- July 13th, 2023: Cloud is one of 70 Republicans who vote for an amendment that would cut all U.S. funding to support our ally, Ukraine, to repel a Russian invasion.
Now, remember, Texas’ 27th District kept sending Blake Farenthold to Congress before he was enough of a sex pest that it imploded his career… even though Michael Cloud was part of the Freedom Caucus uprising that dug in and was trying to get Jim Jordan named Speaker of the House instead of Kevin McCarthy, it is unlikely that unless he ever gets a primary challenger in his +13 Republican leaning district that he’ll be going anywhere anytime soon.
Unless, of course, there’s things we don’t know about his fandom for the Jan. 6th attackers that end up getting him indicted at some point. But we’re probably not that lucky.
