I referenced David Kurtz and the Morning Memo at Talking Points Memo earlier today. There were several other items of note, but the one that is an eye catcher is the latest on Rudy Giuliani.
If there’s anything sadder than the way Rudy Giuliani’s public image has become a grotesque caricature of itself, mostly recently in service to Trump, it’s possibly the way he had managed to skate on so many visible character flaws for years. Multiple failed marriages. Using NYC agencies funding and the NYPD to facilitate his amorous adventures. Siting an emergency command center in a high-risk location despite expert advice not to. Promoting for high office a man who turned out to be a corrupt grifter. Even the plaudits he got for dealing with 911 don’t stand up to examination.
Kurtz reports why being one of the unnamed conspirators in the latest Trump indictment may not be the worst news Giuliani has gotten this week. Down with the other items in the Morning Memo is this:
***TRIGGER ALERT***
You would think that being named a yet-to-indicted co-conspirator in a conspiracy to overthrow the government would be the highlight of Rudy Giuliani’s week, but you would be wrong. Very wrong. Unbelievably wrong. To-wit:

Warning. If you check out the links, the transcripts are grossly disturbing. To quote from just the HuffPost Article for background:
...Noelle Dunphy filed suit against the former New York City mayor earlier this year over allegations that he coerced her into sex and failed to pay her wages totalling some $2 million (£1.58 million).
Dunphy says she worked as an off-the-books consultant for Giuliani between 2019 and 2021 when he was still serving as a personal lawyer for former US President Donald Trump.
The brief recordings were typed out by a legal transcription service and filed in New York state court on Tuesday, revealing sexist, homophobic and antisemitic sentiments.
Another reminder that Trump hires “Only the best people.”
The scene where Sacha Baron Cohen set Giuliani up in “Borat 2” is even creepier now.
