Welcome to what is the 1224th original profile here at “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day”, where we’ll be discussing Kristina Karamo, who was a 2022 candidate for Michigan Secretary of State not so much on her credentials as a community college professor, but more on the fact that she’s a fanatical conspiracy theorist who spread Donald Trump’s “Big Lie” about the 2020 election being stolen from him, but also that she claimed the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6th was the work of “Antifa” who just put on MAGA hats and shirts to frame Trump supporters for it.
Karamo rose to prominence claiming that while she was employed as a poll worker, she personally witnessed “fraud” as a poll challenger. But she’s not limiting herself to conspiracy theories surrounding Donald Trump’s main concerns, she also has said in different speeches and blogs:
And if you needed any more causes for concern, there are also court documents that, per Kristina Karamo’s ex-husband, when he told her he wanted a divorce, she said, “F*** it, I’ll kill us all”, and threatened to crash the family car while both they, and their two teenage daughters were in the car. He added that as a result, she spent time in a mental health treatment facility that probably should have put in a little more work on her before turning her back loose on the public.
Kristine Karamo lost in the election for Michigan Secretary of State in 2022, getting just 42% of the vote. Thus, she failed to get in place to help Donald Trump be declared the victor in the 2024 election, regain power, and avoid jail time. While we would have hoped this would have given her the self-awareness to go get some therapy, the Michigan GOP decided having an absolute madwoman as their new Michigan Republican Party Chairwoman was a good idea.
Gonna have to say, though, this bodes well for Michigan Democrats as long as she has this job.
