I beg to differ. I was once convicted and sent to federal prison in Lompoc. I had also spent time in state prison. Here is what I saw. In state prison, all prisoners were lower class earners and could not afford an attorney. They were locked up because the state gets federal money for each inmate. On the other hand in federal prison most of the inmates are white, rich and because they were rich the government could take all they possessed and put it into the government coffers. I met very wealthy men such as the Schaffer brothers who shipped millions and millions of tons of marijuana into the states. One bragged that as soon as they got out they were going to start a cruise line business with the yachts they used to transport the marijuana. Another had lost a strip mall that amounted to 7 million dollars, another lost hundreds of millions of dollars of business high rises and when he gets out was moving to Belize buying a diplomatic passport which allows anyone possessing one to not have luggage inspected and is protected by his diplomatic passport costing him $250,000. He said he had kept funds hidden in offshore accounts and with the funds would begin building tourist hotels. Most of all of the inmates were very, very wealthy and government went after their assets but most kept them hidden to use when they would get out. So trump is in big trouble because he has a lot of assets the government wants those so it fuels the need to find him guilty. They can use the RICO act to take away most if not all his assets and those of his crime family.
