First, I haven’t had coffee. I apologize in advance for typos. I can’t believe that what I am writing about actually happened!
Handcuffed Women in Police Car Gets Struck by Freight Train
I cannot believe I read this. I cannot believe it happened. I saw it. I watched it. Twice. The officer didn’t get jail time and that’s what they think is the story?! Why the f*ck would you park your vehicle on F*CKING TRAIN TRACKS?!
The officer has to live with that does she??? How is it that the bigger question — “Why the f*ck did you park your vehicle on the train tracks?” is not addressed, not even once in that story?
Did no one ask? I cannot make sense of what is happening in this world. We have raised how many generations of now adults who don’t know not to park your car on the f*cking train tracks! This is how bad things have gotten in this country. Granted, the reporting was a foreign news outlet, but what are we doing in this country where someone, anyone, particularly a police officer (presumably) trained to protect and to serve, presumably trained on vehicular safety, doesn’t think in any measure that is obvious that they shouldn’t park their vehicle on train tracks?
This story may not gain traction, it may not get any replies, it may fall dead as soon after I publish it. But it shouldn’t. Because it demonstrates on so many levels, what is going wrong in our world when a person doesn’t consider parking their vehicle on train tracks to be a bad idea, doesn’t consider it at all.
I need to go have coffee. I wish I had never seen this story. But misery loves company and sharing is caring, and I can’t carry the burden of having knowledge of this story and its too-many-to-contemplate-implications-before-coffee alone.
Thank you for reading
