To Governor Newsom
Last night's episode of 60 Minutes, using your recorded words, implied that dealing with strongly psychotic people will help the homeless dilemma. It won’t. We are not experiencing an epidemic of psychosis. Hordes of psychotic people are not blocking the sidewalks with their tents. We have a rampant surge in rental and home sale pricing—your ‘Care Court’ deals with only a few percent of homeless people. Please look at the reasons why the homeless numbers have exploded. Prices driven exponentially by greed push tens of thousands of sane people into their cars and tents. Please explore why perfectly healthy citizens work more than forty hours a week yet cannot afford housing.
