After my son informed me that his third grandchild was on the way, I started looking for patterns that I liked. My old baby sweater patterns had been passed on to my daughter, and I wanted something new. Without realizing what I was taking on (stripes means lots of threads that have to be contained), I chose this pattern and was pretty happy with the finished product. (Except for weaving in all those threads.) I hope I caught that one in the photo along the bottom edge!
I decided that I didn’t want to send a gift to the baby and not the big brother and sister, so I used the leftover yarn to whip up some mittens to add to the gift. My granddaughter and the big kids were thrilled.
