More of the great images as above at https://xkcd.com/
Nate’s substack is often free, or mostly anyway, and I’d recommend you Subscribe here down on the bottom.
Besides predicting odds Nate is often funny and irreverent. Nate was spurred to think of types on the internet by a comment from Matt Yglesias who should need no introduction. Matt or Matty as groupies like me like to call him, noticed that people often have a hard time understanding the logic or the argument of people with whom they disagree. On the net.
His five types, some of whom inhabit places mighty close by….
- Like to point out if someone is wrong
- Argue to the nth degree just because they figure they are great at arguing. He labels it country lawyer.
- Flag wavers, this one is here. Someone posts how some R tripped over his shoelaces and 150 comments follow about what idiot Nazis trip over shoe laces.
- Book sellers, go to my web site, etc.
- and lastly lunatics whom he recommends blocking and hoping they have someone in their lives who loves them.
As a mostly reader, seldom commenter, and almost never responder to comments, I can certainly see where Nate is coming from. Crazy world we live in. Substack is more longform and Nate’s a good writer, I’d recommend a look see just for the writing and the yucks of course..
