When the outgoing chief of NATO wrote a severe warning on the crisis that would result from another Trump presidency and AP covered it, I wrote a comment on how dKos members could highlight that issue in their local newspapers. I realize, though, that many people would rather run a mile than write a short paragraph.
Well, you don’t have to write. News outlets with web pages keep track of those stories that get readers. They follow up on those stories. Google keeps track of how many clicks everything it lists gets, and the more clicks, the higher up on the list of answers for queries. (Wouldn’t it be great if this story reached near the top of queries for Trump?)
So, Google “Stoltenberg Trump conway.” (Conway was the town where Trump told a rally that he had threatened allies to tell Putin to do with them what they wanted.
You can go down the list and click on every story whose lead looks promising from our perspective.
These stories aren’t the only ones for which this tactic applies. You can raise the rating of any story that looks like it will help our candidates or issues. News publishers only count a click from one computer once, so pushing any story should be backed by some committee, either here or among your local political group.
