I was perusing the Palmer Report last night when a commenter pointed us readers to a nifty Trump Debt Counter thingy. Man, I have been like a kid with a new toy since I discovered it. I feel like I check the dang thing every 5 seconds, and every time I do, I giggle like a wee school girl.
The schadenfreude is real, ya’ll!
More fun than the counter itself is the MAGA meltdown that ensues on any social media account I own where I post said counter.
Some of the greatest MAGA hits include:
“You know this is political!”
“Well, sure it is; Trump made it political the moment he tried to steal an entire nation.”
“He won’t pay it!
“You’re probably right, and when he doesn’t, Tish James is gonna seize his assets!”
“This ain’t a win you flaming libtard! Trump’s a billionaire; he can easily pay these judgements!”
“Then why is he begging you and his international buds for money? Better yet, why hasn’t he paid his bonds for appeal?”
On and on it goes, where it stops, who the hell knows, but some of the resulting insanity has been nothing if darkly hilarious!
Meanwhile, Mr. Billionare just tried to file an appeal without his bond. HA! Good times, good times.
A special shout out to adorable Mieselas Brother, Jordy, (he’s mah fave because he is so sweet and he just had a son named Elijah! Awwww!!!), wrote the latest MTN article regarding:
Donald Trump Files Notice Of Appeal Of $350+ Million Judgment
Trump has yet to post a bond in the case
Donald Trump, his two sons, and the Trump Organization have filed notices of appeal of the $350+ million judgment issued against them by Judge Engoron in their civil fraud trial in New York City. Following the issuance of the judgment late last week, the clock began running on a possible appeal. In New York, a party appealing a judgment has 30 days following the issuance to file a notice of appeal. Now that Trump has filed the notice of appeal, the appellate courts will set a briefing schedule that will outline when opening briefs are due, along with any responses from the New York Attorney General's Office.
One important note: interest continues to accrue in this case as Trump has yet to post a bond with the appellate court. To pause the accrual of interest on a judgment issued in New York, the appealing party has to post a bond in the amount of the judgment along with interest already accrued, which in this case amounts to more than $450 million. As a result, until Trump posts the bond, the judgment will not be stayed, and it will add about $110,000 in interest to the judgment daily.
The clock is still ticking regardless of this appeal, and if he doesn’t pay in the allotted time, Letitia James is gonna be changing the locks on 40 Wall Street.
Tick-Tock Mutha Trucker!
You guys can read the motion to appeal notice by clicking the link to the article.
So, Drumpfy is trying to stop his upcoming 83 million dollar payment to E. Jean Caroll, which was shot down, by the way, and he filed his motion without bond.
Something tells me Trump ain’t a billionaire. Just saying, MAGAites—just saying.
Guys, ya know what would make all this even sweeter? A Letitia James Property Seizure Tracker!!!
You know it’s coming as sure as the Blue Tsunami.
