BiILLIONAIRE EGOMANIACS by Carol Wolman, MD
A few egomaniacs are destroying our world. They are devouring our minds, our pocketbooks, our individuality.
Some of them believe they will be raptured by Jesus, even though they are disobeying everything he taught. Others are building spaceships.
Most have underground bunkers in which they can survive nuclear war. Maybe that is what they want.
Perhaps their mother ship will come for them, now that they’ve used up Planet Earth.
Perhaps they feel that a small self-contained life underground is preferable to the messiness of the natural world.
Wars are their weapons against the rest of us. Wars kill off the population, they justify the imposition of higher taxes, they turn people toward patriotic fascist leaders whom they have put in power.
The egomaniacs control the internet- social media, search engines, software and hardware. They brainwash us into ignoring the destruction around us. They provide endless entertainment with which to distract ourselves.
They control the health economy, by indoctrinating doctors to perform expensive unnecessary tests, and prescribe endless tranquillizers, numbing us to the pain and grief of losing our planet.
Trump is their tool. His whole political life has been devoted to transferring wealth to the billionaires, who in turn prop him up.
Trump is key. They need him to win the election and destroy democracy in order to put their next phase into operation- overt fascism and/or nuclear war.
Trump is getting squeezed from both ends. The forces of democracy and justice are forcing him to defend himself ferociously. His billionaire masters will drop him in a minute if he falters. And he is faltering.
How do we fight the egomaniacs, before it is too late? We are approaching a point of no return ecologically and in the nuclear sphere.
- battle is taking place on three planes- material, social and spiritual. If we win the spiritual battle, the others will follow.
Our first line of defense is prayer. It clarifies our thinking and focuses us on the greater good. It maintains our individuality, our direct line to the divine, our sense of worth and dignity, our hope. And perhaps prayers are heard- many people so testify.
Second line is cooperation. Group prayers are especially powerful. They keep our minds focused on our common need for peace and justice. They maintain optimism, they generate creative ideas and spur people to action, into working together.
With the internet, prayers can be international. Voices from many continents and countries can find their commonality. We all need to bequeath a healthy planet to our descendants.
The antidote to egomania is loving our neighbors. Now our neighbors include every living thing on the planet. If we concentrate on loving ourselves, our families, our neighbors- including the plants and animals, our love will spread into ever-widening circles.
All we need is love.
Keep the faith,
Love to all, Carol
