Private Eye is a long-established independent UK satirical news and current affairs magazine with a well-earned reputation for investigative journalism, muck-raking, occasionally-erratic accuracy, and a gleefully insouciant attitude to, well… pretty much everything.
The institution can be found lurking at www.private-eye.co.uk. The website includes the paper’s podcast, which goes by the name “Page 94”*, and is an interesting mix of humour, insight, and acid.
If you’d like a change of pace, and news about someone-else’s problems for a change, it’s worth a listen.
(No, I’m not associated with Private Eye. I just like the podcast.)
* An in-joke; Articles which end prematurely are ‘continued on page 94’ of the 44-page publication.
