Just a quick post before running off on multiple errands. This is apparently going viral — a former BBC news anchor, Emily Maitlis, was at Mar-a-Lago covering the reactions to the Super Tuesday primary vote for the News Agents, and was interviewing Marjorie Taylor Greene. Maitlis asked some questions about Trump picking a running mate; MTG was emphatic that it should not be Nikki Haley and dodged the question of whether she should be the VP pick.
It then got interesting when Maitlis asked her why so many Trump supporters believe conspiracy theories. In a classic bit of projection, Greene tried to flip the question by charging that it’s the Left that spreads conspiracy theories. Huffington Post links to the video of the encounter, and has an account of what happened when Maitlis asked Greene about Jewish Space Lasers:
“We’ll let me tell you,” Greene replied. “You’re a conspiracy theorist and the left and the media spreads more conspiracy theories. We like the truth, we like supporting our Constitution, our freedoms and America First.”
Maitlis then pressed Greene on one of her most notorious claims, asking: “What about Jewish space lasers? Tell us about Jewish space lasers”.
“No, why don’t you go talk about Jewish space lasers,” Greene fired back. “And really why don’t you fuck off, how about that?”
Pity our polite press can’t ask questions like this.
