Huffington Post has an article up about the latest “thinking” from RFK Jr. on the pressing issues of our day, and he suggests there is a causal link between anti-depressants and video games and mass shootings. I wonder if the Scientologists are funding his campaign for president now? Certainly seems like RFK Jr. wants some support from the NRA.
This was brought to light by Democratic strategist Keith Edwards on X/Twitter:
I bring all this up for a couple of reasons. One is that I am grateful that Democrats are starting to take the threat of RFK Jr. seriously enough to attack his insane conspiracy theories and whacko ideas. I’ve noticed that even MSNBC, at least on the morning and early afternoon shows, keeps pushing national polls that show RFK Jr. has some actual chance to be a spoiler for Trump. In other words, RFK Jr. is pulling voters away from Biden.
An anti-vaxxer who also believes that COVID-19 was genetically engineered to not kill the Chinese and Jews and now thinks mass shootings are probably caused by anti-depressants/video games is supposed to attract Biden voters? Really? Nothing like false equivalencies to hang your media hat on.
Second, I’m one of those depressed people who have been on anti-depressants for over twenty years. And yes, you can go fuck yourself RFK Jr.! I don’t own a gun, and I have no intention of going on a mass killing spree. So thanks for embracing a Republican talking point on guns and mass shootings! /s.
The media really, really, really wants its precious fuckin’ horse race election this year. And to add to the fun, they have been pushing third party candidates ever since a Democrat has had a chance of winning the White House. Notice how the two choices are always “yucky!” whenever the Democrat is likely to win or is the incumbent? Voters need a third option then!
This year No Labels was to be that vehicle for trashing Biden and giving the election to Trump. But No Labels has No Candidate, and it is unlikely to find one, especially since one of the drivers for revenge against Democrats has died — Joe Lieberman. No serious politician wants anything to do with No Labels because they are also on only 19 state ballots. You cannot win the presidency being only on 19 state ballots.
So who can the media turn to who has some “presence” and can throw the race into pandemonium? a prominent name from the past will do! A Kennedy!
Too bad most of the youngins today have no experience with Camelot, at least for the corporate bastards who run the major media markets. And the youngins have plenty of real problems to deal with such as avoiding bullets while attending school. And trying to avoid getting COVID-19. And trying to get a job that pays well. And...etc, etc, etc.
Issues that RFK Jr. is on the wrong side of or doesn’t bother to address.
So kudos to Keith Edwards! Keep up the good work!
