Why is no one saying that Joe Lieberman's political career will be finished if he loses this election???? His independent run is a slap in the face to the Democratic party and it should be made clear to him that if he ever wants a political career again, as a Democrat, he better accept the results of the primary.
I do not understand why no one in the Democratic party--particularly the state party is making this statement to the media and getting the word out.
Joe Lieberman keeps claiming that he is a democrat. Yet he is opposing the will of the party.
Why is no one in the Democratic party going to Joe Lieberman and saying "Joe if you're a good boy and drop out we'll make sure you're taken care of down the line. If, however, you persist, then we will make sure your political career as a Democrat is over."
Think about it, if Joe Lieberman persists in this run, and loses--then his political career will be impossible to revive. If he bows out gracefully, then there's always hope for him down the line.
Why is no one one in the Democratic leadership making this point??? Why are no pundits making this point??
Am I wrong??? Can he ever revive his career if he goes on and loses in November???
