National School of Character (NSOC) Award
Every year, the Character Education Partnership recognizes ten public and private K-12 schools and districts that demonstrate excellent character education. Successful applicants must demonstrate that their school exemplifies the consortium's eleven principles of character education, which focus on moral education in the individual and community. Winners receive $2,000, half of which must go to program improvement and half of which must be earmarked for presenting at conferences and expos.
