To absolutely no one's surprise, the Chicago Tribune has endorsed Bush. You can read their idiotic reasoning here:

I have fired off the following reply:
The Tribune's endorsement of George Bush, while not unexpected, displayed a level of disingenuousness and outright distortion that surprised even me. George Bush as the best choice against terrorism? He diverted resources AWAY from the hunt for Al Qaeda to strengthen his demented crusade against Iraq. The post-war planning of the Iraq adventure has been utterly disastrous, and more than 1,000 of our young men and women have paid the price. Bush has ignored the nuclear threat from Pakistan and has proven useless in the attempt to keep North Korea from acquiring nuclear weapons. Even Republicans such as Brent Scowcroft and Richard Lugar see Bush's foreign policy decisions as borderline-catastrophic.
Domestic policy? Turning a projected $5.6 trillion SURPLUS into a projected $3 trillion DEFICIT is nothing short of tragic. The tax cuts, which were supposed to yield 5-7 million new jobs, have failed utterly. And Bush's record on environmental issues, Church-State separation, energy policy, and civil liberties, has been atrocious. The NCLB act is a fraud. And Bush and Cheney have lied so often on so many issues that I don't have the room to list all of them.
Only John Kerry offers us a way out of the mess George Bush has created. He will have my support--and the overwhelming support of the voters of Illinois--on November 2. [End]
We need to let the Tribune's sick, twisted editorial board hear us LOUD AND CLEAR. They need to know that we're the new Democratic Party--WE KICK ASS AND TAKE NAMES!
