As you guys saw earlier this weekend, seeing the staged levee repairs on Friday has finally snapped this Christian Dem's tolerance. And finding out that we've basically told UK tourists to fend for themselves ... unbelievable.
Michael Chertoff and Mike Brown better dust off their resumes, because this cannot and will not continue. After this outrage, there should be no room for negotiations. They have to go--and if Shrub doesn't fire them, remember that presidential appointees subject to Senate confirmation CAN be impeached.
I'm at a friend's house at the moment, so I can't draft specific articles yet--but at a minimum they should be tossed out for gross dereliction of duty. Anyone who wants to contribute other charges--keep this diary recommended so I can post them later on in an update. What I can think of now is after the jump.

Article 1.
In his conduct while Secretary of Homeland Security, Michael Chertoff, in violation of his oath to well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office of Secretary of Homeland Security and in disregard of his duty under the HOmeland Security Act to exercise direction, authority and control over the Department of Homeland Security, failed to respond in a timely manner to the events resulting from the destruction of levees around New Orleans, Louisiana.
