The media are little Doggies yapping at the table of their masters, excitedly waiting for crumbs (or even a selected bone!) to be dropped to the ground. They fear rejecting even the most suspicious morsel, because then they might be called "bad Doggie" and be given no more of these treats.
The National Enquirer is a bad little Doggie who nips at the legs at head of the table, but is small enough to ignore. Besides, it is such a funny looking little Doggie that it's hard to take seriously.
Other Doggies:
CBS News was a bigger, scarier Doggie, so the other Doggies had to bark at it until it whimpered and groveled. Good Doggies know not to bite each other, but now all the Doggies know its okay to bite CBS News.
Daily Show is a mischievous little Doggie who gets away with it because it's so tiny and cute.
Meet the Press is a very good little Doggie who likes to bark at bad Doggies and then curl up in Master's lap when master lets it.
Fox isn't really a big Doggie, but the other Doggies know it's the masters favorite so they let it pretend it is a big Doggie.
CNN used to be a big Doggie, but has shrunk now that FNC is getting all its bones. Its trying to get bigger again by following FNC around.
News Hour is the quiet little Doggie, who occasionally is a bit of a bad Doggie in its quiet way but is really quite harmless. The masters thought about not feeding News Hour for a while, but now news hour bites less often and has less teeth.
MSNBC is a crazy little Doggie! How funny! Watch it try to be just like FNC and then bite its own tail!
