Paging Dr. Orwell...
The very embarrassing Nov 10, 2001 State Dept. Report, "Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda" containing the section "Countries Where al Qaeda Has Operated" has vanished from government computers. You may recall that the report shows that al Qaeda was not active in Iraq prior to Bush's misadventures. When I did a little diary housekeeping, I found that the colorful map was missing here: http://dailykos.com/story/2004/10/6/175316/499 (scroll down to the broken image link)
Not only is the map gone, when you click through, the entire page is gone. You get a 404 error: http://usinfo.state.gov/404.html
More below...
Since we still know the name of the missing map, we can see the Google
cache of the original text.
Further Googling helps locate the graphics, and we can find the original map here. Here's a copy I just stashed at imageshack.us:

If many people are like me, this report has been getting thousands (millions?) of hits (Me to the UPS driver: "if you don't believe me that Limbaugh is lying to you, just type in the Internet address").
Don't you love it when political hacks try to re-write history?
It's time to rescue the country, dammit.
Update: Does anyone know of an anti-memory hole system that's better than Google's cache? If so, I'll add it here.
