It is wonderful to see one of our nation's most respected dailies tear into President Horse's Ass.
Will this give strength and energy to the Dems in Congress to attack the proposed amendment. Will we see more clarion calls like Nancy Pelosi's yesterday?

The President closed his endorsement of the amendment by insisting that "our government should respect every person" and requesting that Americans "conduct this difficult debate in a manner worthy of our country . . . with kindness and goodwill and decency." In the context of a divisive proposal, this request didn't just ring hollow; it clanged.
They are denouncing this president and his amendment in the clearest terms, and it is thrilling to see this kind of editorial opinion from a paper of record.
