It's pretty simple folks, Howard Dean was going to have to face this issue head on, better it now then in October of 04. How Dean responds to this is going to be the yardstick to measure his candidacy by.
Dean needs to sit down with some experts and come up with a serious plan on how he'll deal with terror, might I suggest he call Bob Graham, and tap into his wealth of knowledge on the subject. Dean needs to handle this without hesitation, and needs to not avoid it by talking about his grassroots, his fundraising prowess, or any other issue, it needs to be hit head on and hit hard with a response that will shut his critics up.
Dean should go on every talking head program that exists and talk about his plan, Dean needs to send a copy of his plan to every registered voter in the country. If Dean doesn't respond properly to this attack he's done in my book, I'll vote for the General in a second, because Clark is a tough guy by virtue of who he is, and what he lacks in a domestic agenda can be made up for by running with Edwards in the general election.
The ball is in Dean's court, it's time for him to run with it, or crumble, crying about how unfair the ad is is a waste of time, Dean needs to answer the ad, and here's to hoping he scores a touchdown with his response.
