Regardless of how the 2004 election turns out I think that media reform needs to be the top issue for Democrats on which to focus in the next few cycles. I think that it is clear that they need a better media strategy.
I often wonder if the party's heads even realize that the media is one of the problems. Do they know how the media portrays them? Do they see it as being a problem?
The more I think about it I think the party needs its own cable channel. I know it's expensive and the funds are there, but they need to start working on it. They need to do something along those lines to articulate their message.
I think that a lot of the reason why the Kerry campaign looks inept to us out here in cyberspace is that the media isn't treating them fairly. They may be doing the right things, but the media just cannot or will not report it.
