I believe that Kerry's message on Iraq should be:
If you elect me, I will win the war in Iraq.
Ideally, he will say something exactly like that during tonight's debate.
People are dissatisfied with how Bush has handled the war, and they are looking for a reason to go with Kerry, but I think a lot of people have the misstaken impression that Kerry wants to pull out of Iraq.
Stating plainly: "I will win" is clear, concise, and sends the right message to voters.
It also has the benefit of pointing out that the current occupant of the White House is leading us own the road of failure.
