Just to add to the caucus and polling reports from yesterday.

Kucinich 100
Sharpton 35
I was the "challenger" for Dean at Ann Arbor's 5th ward, which covers most of the very democratic west side of Ann Arbor.
The turnout was great. They expected 900, we ended up with over 1300. We had to get more ballots 3 times, finally resorting to copying ballots.
All major candidates except for Edwards had someone there working people when they cam in. I got into a bit of a tussle with the Kerry guy, who is nothing short of a horses a$$. When people came in, he'd say, "vote for John Kerry, he's electable in November" to which I would follow, "No he's not, he keeps voting with George Bush, so how can he run against him" (I actually always said something positive about Dean first). But then said horses a$$ said, "That's not factual." So I started listing off all of Kerry's pro-Bush votes.
I asked the guy how he repsonded to this criticism, noting that I would have to support his guy if he won the nomination. AND HE WOULDN't RESPOND. He wouldn't give me any answer. Ughhh. Another reason to love his candidate (at the Dean party afterwards, we decided we were going to get him unelected from his position as secretary of the county's Dems).
Anyway, I have to say this about the caucus that was really a primary. There was a lot more jovialitiy than typical elections. Maybe it was the crowds--there was always someone to jaw with. Maybe it was the people gabbing for their candidate. Maybe it was anti-Bush giddiness. But it was fun.
