Yes, I know, it's Drudge, so take
this article with a grain of salt. But, for an apparent state funeral, one paid for by our tax dollars, where two U.S. Presidents, one who was Reagan's VP and one that is our current one, and former Prime Ministers of Canada & England are allowed to speak, and yet the only two surviving Democratic former Presidents aren't even allowed the chance to speak at the podium is a partisanship that deserves strong criticism.
Reports are that Nancy requested this, but I cannot believe, given her recent outcries against the Right wanting her late husband on the dime and her wishes for stem cell research, that she wouldn't request this unless she was vigorously persuaded by members of the current Administration, Daddy Bush, etc. to do so. Either way, I can't help but feel disappointed that the death of an American President cannot be mourned in a manner where politics and partisanship do not exist, and it just goes to show that even with the death of a political icon, the Right has absolutely no shame, no shame at all.
Makes me sick!
