I really liked the book and bad reviews or no bad reviews I was going to the movie. It was good too-- not
great and life-changing, but good... entertaining and enjoyable. As the lights were being dimmed, my friend Craig-- still recovering from my unrestrained anti-Regime outbursts during
V-- warned me not to start screaming anything about Bush while the movie was playing. As it turned out, there were no overt Bush moments in the film. Now, had I been living in Pennsylvania I'm sure I would have tried to make sure the audience was aware that the prime villains in the film,
Opus Dei, have a powerful member-- or secret member-- in the very heart of the U.S. government, Rick Santorum, a man whose extremism is second only to his
corruption. (Yeah, yeah... Scalia too, of course, but he's in for life.)
Anyway, I sat quietly during the movie and then came home to write a poll for Daily Kos readers.
