I'm reposting this here as a new entry since most folks probably aren't going to go to where I put it originally, as a response to a response...
To all who responded, thank you.
The Harkin endorsement was a big help, of course. Then we went to the 2 debates. Sometimes I wonder if there is anything we can do for CMB that would be enough to thank her for her common sense and wonderful analysis of the essentials.
She has HD's back so constantly !
However, these many incidents of both truthtelling and peacemaking have caused me to wonder whether these debates aren't a perfect display of much of what is wrong with the world.
Maybe the folks who posit that testosterone poisoning is at the root of the world's troubles aren't so far off the mark !
It's too bad her political career was interrupted by the kind of sniping she had to endure, but maybe the silver lining is that we now, for many of us perhaps for the first time, see that a black women can hold her own with the "big boys"--and just maybe this has convinced some people that a woman, yes maybe even a black woman, should be seriously considered as president.
Of course some of us voted for a black woman for president back in 1972's primaries. For extra credit who remembers who she was ?
