Look, I like pastordan, he is a good guy and he's on our side.
And I generally check out his diaries because I have a strong interest
( from the other side ) of the effects of religion on our politics.
So yesterday I posted one of my typically snarky, yet I hope friendly, comments in response to his posting ( reminding him that not all of us
think that the Catholic church has provided "moral leadership")

Suddenly I was being troll rated, which really surprised me because I am
often more confrontational without that occuring.
In examining the thread, I discovered that somehow I was in the middle
of a "prayer diary".
In "prayer diaries" the rules are different, evidently, from our usual
discussions and once again it seems respect is demanded.
Not having attended christian services for 45 years, the concept of a
prayer diary is new to me and I was unaware of the rules - I would
never have participated in the diary had I known.
Since it is quite possible that others in the DKos community are not
familiar with the rules, would it be possible for the non-responsive,
non-respectful of us be warned up front when a prayer diary is
posted ?
