The President's visit to West Virginia Cost all of us.
Yesterday, President Bush did attend a fundraiser for Mike Callaghan's competitor, Shelley Moore Capito. President Bush also charged the tax payers for the flight that he took from Washington, DC on Air Force One to Charleston, WV.
The President flew into the airport in Charleston and handed out a service award there. By doing this, the president was able to have an "official" visit the West Virginia's capitol city and was able to save the Capito campaign thousands of dollars.
A visit that was touted as a fundraiser for weeks became an official visit that cost all tax payers while it was able to benefit the President's failed agenda and was able to secure Rep. Capito's votes for that failed agenda.
We need better representation in West Virginia. The fundraiser that was held in Charleston last night by Rep. Capito shows that she is out of touch with her constituency. The people that attended were the top 1% of the population and were people that benefit from Bush's tax cuts. Shelley Moore Capito as Mike Callaghan said repeatedly yesterday on Charleston Media, is " A rubber stamp for this president."
While Capito socialized with the President and showed her support and commitment for his failed agenda, Mike Callaghan was showing his commitement to the people he is running for. Callaghan hosted a people's party that everyone was invited to.
We need to make sure that Mike Callaghan has our support and we need to get national attention for him. His message and work ethic give him an ability to take over this seat. Lets all get behind Callaghan- Check him out- www.mikewv.com.
