Saunter on over to
CNN, where, as of 3:45 pm on Friday, they have up this little number:
Bush said moved by casket photos.
Peruse the contents of the article, and you find the following first paragraph:
President Bush has seen the photographs of caskets of slain U.S. military personnel returning from Iraq and was "moved" by them, according to a White House spokesman, who defended the policy against making such pictures public.
Then read the rest of the article.
Why did CNN choose to make that the headline when nothing beyond the first paragraph has anything to do with Bush's reaction to seeing the caskets?
Yet more fawning bullcrap of the flavor we've had force-fed to us these past 4 years.
It's lovely how they continue to portray this issue as one of family privacy. If Bush had been so concerned about respecting the privacy of families in grieving their dead, his ads would not have used the images of dead bodies being removed from the WTC in the aftermath of 9/11.
Once again, if it looks like bullcrap, and it smells like bullcrap, and if they force it down your throats and it tastes like bullcrap...in the world of Bush it's creme brulee!
