There were a lot of reasons not to like Kerry campaign manager Jim Jordan. For one, he publicly mocked Trippi's asidious courting of the blogosphere even as Dean lapped the opposition in the medium. (Can you tell I took it personally?)
But Jordan was still generally liked in insider circles, so I'm a bit sad to see him fired.
Still, it's hard to argue with results, or lack thereof. And Jordan wasn't getting any results. Kerry replaces Jordan with Mary Beth Cahill.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- the top organizations in the race are Dean's and Gephardt's. Kerry is still trying to shake things up, merely a month before the elections begins. Clark still doesn't have a campaign manager. Edwards has the best speechwriters around but his ground operation is a joke. And Lieberman... well, his campaign is going nowhere fast.
I have doubts whether Kerry has enough time to turn things around, but stranger things have happened. Campaign turmoil, this late in the game, is never a good sign.
