Did anyone notice how the impending possibility of a tradegy laid out in high definition TV kinda took over the media wednesday afternoon? It even infected Air America Radio (AAR).
Did it make anyone else feel sick to their stomach?
Morbid is the only word I can currently come up with. A DESIRE to witness death and destruction.
I was in the field (in a car) listening to KQKE in San Francisco. Randi was doing her usual thing, and there was this funky noise interruption about "breaking news"... which I'd never heard before and they said they were cuttting over to CNN for coverage of an airborne aircraft with trouble at LAX. This dragged on and on while they burned fuel... back to regular programming... back to breathless CNN coverage of talking heads interviewing pilots... how did it FEEL as you were bringing in that disabled aircraft.... how did you keep it all together? <gag>
The pinnacle was when it ran into the early part of Larry King's gig as the aircraft is actually coming down and he's like "let's watch this..." followed by about 5 seconds of dead space coming out of your radio where I'm sure there were many of us simultaneously yelling "IT'S A FUCKING RADIO - HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO WATCH THIS".
This is the first time I've seen KQKE (SF) employ this cut to breaking news thing.
I'm not impressed. So I went to KQKE's web site to provide some feedback... only to find that there wasn't a vehicle. No real suprise there. It's a Clear Channel enterprise. But then I found this unrelated trash propaganda posted at KQKE's web site.
None of the left's allegations are gathering any traction, America does not believe them anymore. Radicals have lost all credibility. They have single handedly destroyed the Democratic Party. It will be years before Jefferson's party regains momentum enough to win any national election.
Just what in the hell is going on with KQKE?
