Just some quick thoughts about the New York Times as well as the LA Times reporting about the Treasury Department's search through bank records to find terrorist & their money sources.
1. Bush announced that he was directing that these searches be done. "We're going to stop their money flowing into these terror organizations." We knew this Administration was going to do this type of search.
2. If these newspapers reported names of the people doing these searches then they may have indeed compromised some CIA & NSA operatives. But, from what I've read, no operatives have been compromised. What I have seen is reporting on the methods used to locate these records. More below the fold:
Since this is all that I've seen, I think the "right wing" needs to sit down & STFU...!!!
Mr. Bennett & Mr. Limbaugh have less than nothing to say. 1 is a gambling addict & the other is a drug addict, & both in their time would have sold their mother's to feed their habits.
The New York Times & The LA Times do not have & have never had to stoop to these men's levels.
This country needs to know what this Administration did in our name & no matter how righteous these people think they are, to commit a wrong to protect what you see as American ideals it's still wrong.
