Okay, so when my mom was in college, she named her '69 VW Beatle, "Hermes" or "Hermy" for short. Now I'm in college, and I have a Toyota Corolla. It's not the most exciting car, but I was thinking today that maybe it deserved a name. Here are my options:
Mercury - The first name that came to mind was the Roman name for Hermes, Mercury. It fits because it is the next generation, if you will, of Hermes. It could be 'Merc' for short. But then, Mercury is sort of already taken by the car company. It might confuse people.
Taurus - My Zodiac sign. It would be a nice choice if Ford hadn't come out with the Ford Taurus.
Aldebaran - Thinking about Taurus brought Aldeberan to mind. It is the Red Giant star that is makes up the "eye of the bull." It has a nice ring to it. It also has nick name possibilities like 'Al' and 'Debbie' But still, the name might be too high and mighty for a toyota corolla.
Some other Greek God - Apollo, Artimus(sp?), Ares, Athena, the possibilities are endless.
Some Norse God- Oden and Lokey come to mind
Millenium Falcon - This would just sort of make fun of the odd features of my car that just don't seem to work right. The defroster smells like dead hampster, and the emergency break light keeps coming on and off at random even though I don't have the break up.
