A few days ago (may have been a day ago, I don't know... a day seems like a week right now) I commented on this site about the difficulty I was having getting anybody at the DNC to respond to my e-mails.
Well, this morning I received an e-mail from Doug Kelly, the Technology Director at the DNC.
Here is part of what he said:
I'll have Kos publish the email account for bloggers and posters next week when I set it up, but in the meantime I wanted to send an email your way saying the DNC is listening, and if you have any specific questions, drop me a line.
So, not only does it appear that bloggers and posters will have our own account through which to communicate with the DNC, this proves that they are listening.
Thanks, Doug, for your message!
Now I know that a lot of us have our individual problems with the DNC. We feel that they are not doing all they could be doing. Many of us feel that they failed us somehow in the midterm elections of 2002.
However, in a month or two we are going to have our presidential nominee. That nominee is going to need the support and the assistance of the DNC in his (our) quest to oust the evil-doers from Washington, D.C. I want to echo Kos' request that we support the DNC. Support your chosen candidate in the primaries, by all means. But let's also show some support for our party's national committee.
Besides... having Kos in Boston and receiving real time reports from him at the convention would not really be a bad thing... right?!
