this isn't good news for any of us, actually.
But this (along with news like this) is just the sort of wallet-impacting event that makes voters sit up and take notice. And since Iraq no longer seems to interest the SCLM (despite the recent increase in U.S. deaths).
The escalating price of oil has already hobbled our economy a bit, but if prices continue to rise, we ain't seen nothin' yet. The administration has already admitted, with their "turning the corner" slogan, that they have no real accomplishments to run on, and if good times no longer appear to be just around the bend, it's possible that some of the softer Bush supporters may abandon ship.
