Not-So-Fancy Farm a Success!

Yesterday was rainy here in the Bluegrass. Although the heavens opened up on us more than once during setup, the event was still well attended, and lots of candidates got the chance to address voters!
David Sirota was great. He outlined how corporate money influences governmental policy while politicians distract people with hot-button issues like abortion, marriage, etc. Very cogent, very instructive. We gave him a standing ovation. Of course, he couldn't help but comment on the weather, which could have steamed clams through the shell:

"If humidity were an energy source, Kentucky would be Saudi Arabia."
Many of Kentucky's best and brightest, along with plenty of new blood, got a chance to address voters. Among them were Amy Shir, currently on the DFA-List, and several Change For Kentucky-sponsored candidates like Andrea James, Chris Frost, Tom Blues, and Mary Noble.
What was especially rewarding for me was hearing speakers at the podium tell us how Change For Kentucky's support was invaluable and how worthy our organization is. It made it worth the "Noah's Ark" segment of the afternoon to hear that we were making a real difference.

Jeremy Horton, leader of Change For Kentucky, names the volunteers and gives credit where it is due.
Many, many thanks to everyone out there who helped us stage the event!
