The most important thing most of you can do at this point, if you wish to support Ned Lamont, is to contact everyone you know in Connecticut and make sure they know about the primary. Even if your friends and family are moderately plugged into the political world it's quite possible that an August 8th primary just isn't really on their radar. You don't even necessarily have to try to sell them on Lamont, just please let them know that the primary is happening.
You can use this handy campaign tool to reach out to your Connecticut-based friends, families and neighbors. Or you can pick up a phone or drop them an email.
We're down to a ground game in these final 14 days before the primary. Sure, Ned's army is grassroots and Lieberman's army is a bunch of mercenearies, but they're good, effective mercenearies. There's a reason they command top dollar.
Ned doesn't have the corporate lobbyists and Republican noise machine pushing and bankrolling his operation. He has to build it organically. And all people-powered armies require just that -- people. That's you guys.
If you're lucky enough to live within an hour or two of Connecticut, please consider volunteering. If you are lucky enough to know people who live in Connecticut, let them know about the race, about Ned Lamont, and urge them to vote. And if you can't do any of that, drop even $5 into Lamont's coffers. Going up against the combined might of the lobbyist machine, the Republican machine, and the Democratic Establishment doesn't come cheap.
