Dick Gephardt's campaign feels voting is merely a gimmick.
The Dean campaign held a vote to let the people decide how to raise funds.
Dick Gephardt's campaign replied that this was a gimmick/rationalization.
"Forget all of the gimmicks and rationalizations, the plain truth is that Howard Dean wants to outspend his opponents in the early states and has therefore violated his pledge to stay within the public financing system."
I like Dick Gephardt. However, this is pure crap. Voting is not a gimmick.
As for the rest of the campaigns attacking Dean... they would all be doing the exact same thing if they were in his position. We should be glad that our eventual nominee has the potential to be competitive with Bush. The other campaigns are becoming increasingly desperate. I fear they are starting to hurt the process and the party. They need to stop the relentless and stupid carping on Dean. It just makes them look desperate and shrill.
