CNN Headline News reported that several advertisers, including Lowe's have pulled their advertising from ABC's "Desperate Housewives" after one day's worth of complaints from a right-wing group. Within hours of getting the e-mails/calls/faxes, the advertisers pulled off of the show. Reason: too racy. Not family oriented.
In this previous diary, Lowe's gave an ambiguous answer saying that they don't run ads during controversial programming, etc.
This goes to show that companies like Lowe's fear the right wing but think that we are piddily.
I guess to be fair, we are asking them to pull ads from an entire network whereas the right wing is only asking them to pull ads from one show - but it's one show that runs weekly vs. one network that is abusing its airwaves to push propoganda.
