on all things considered today the panel joked together and laughed twice while commenting on "an inconvenient truth", the new al gore movie on global warming.
once they joked and laughed about the sad eyed polar bear who cant find ice. the panel doesnt seem to realize that the polar bear is tired and is going to die.
the panel all laughed about having plenty of time to build dykes around new york.
if they had laughed at it in a dark humor dr strangelove kind of way i would understand.
but the panel was making fun of the idea that the crowds at the movies felt for the plight of the polar bear. they made fun of the idea that new york may be doomed by melting ice.
he only argumant they had agaisnt it was that maybe some of the melting in a few places wasnt totally because the planet is getting warmed up by humans who buy drive and fly.
learn more about al's movie.

The trade winds in the Pacific Ocean are weakening as a result of global warming, according to a new study that indicates changes to the region's biology are possible.
Using a combination of real-world observations and computer modeling, researchers conclude that a vast loop of circulating wind over the Pacific Ocean, known as the Walker circulation, has weakened by about 3.5 percent since the mid-1800s. The trade winds are the portion of the Walker circulation that blow across the ocean surface.
The researchers predict another 10 percent decrease by the end of the 21st century.
The effect, attributed at least in part to human-induced climate change, could disrupt food chains and reduce the biological productivity of the Pacific Ocean, scientists said.
