He's doing the book tour thing, with several TV and radio appearances over the past few days. And it's the beginning of the book tour -- the book was released yesterday. In fact, several guests on both shows have been promoting books that were released Tuesday Jan 16th. Two thoughts: 1) Has the publishing industry moved to the "New Book Tuesday" model? When'd I miss that? and 2) TDS/TCR are turning up at the beginning of the book promo process. Now, maybe it's just because the guests are in New York anyway... or possibly TDS/TCR sell books. Hmm.
Anyway, the book is called "Go Long!: My Journey Beyond the Game and the Fame," and it's an autobiography. There's an excerpt online which caught my interest, but not so much in the way of reviews. That is, none I could find (except a lone entry at Amazon), although a whole hell of a lot of single-paragraph mentions. And did you know that you too can be on a Wheaties box? Oh, the possibilities...
His current book, "Breakpoint," like his last, is a techno-thriller (fiction seems to have escaped the subtitle infection). It was just released, and there's not a whole lot about it out there yet. I did find some reviews, along with a photographer of the same name (I love finding the artists) and, um, news from the frontlines of the great war on squirrels (bookmarked that).
