From the cavernous halls of Limbaugh's intestines, to the desolate shores of of Malkin's morality, the right has been fighting Bush's battles on the air and on the nasty emails. They'll take on anyone... Anyone! (12 and younger) who dares stand in the way of grinding our troops into sausage and tossing our children to the wolves.
So I'm sure that they want the address of this nefarious group of nogoodniks who are calling out the great leader's plans for Iraq.
U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates on Thursday played down a newspaper report that the U.S. Marine Corps was pressing to remove its forces from Iraq and switch to a leading role in Afghanistan.
...
The plan would require a major reshuffling and make the Marines the dominant American force in Afghanistan in a war that has broader public support than the one in Iraq, the New York Times said.
...
Currently, there are no major Marine units among the 26,000 or so U.S. forces in Afghanistan. In Iraq there are about 25,000 Marines among the more than 160,000 U.S. troops there.
Marines want to get out of the ill-planned endless mess in Iraq and move their mission to the publicly-supported war in Afghanistan? Quick, call Jean Schmidt. I'm sure she'll explain to them how marines are supposed to behave.
Actually, the Marines idea of moving to Afghanistan seems like a better use of their capabilities. If only the plan didn't also involve replacing their forces in Iraq, it would be one heck of a start.
